I know this is a little late, but better late than never right?
We spent our Memorial Day weekend hanging out with family. Unfortunately I had to work Friday and Saturday, but we were able to leave Monday morning to Jerome to meet up with Mike and Kelly. It was nice to be able to see their new home in person. They definitely have their work cut out for them, but the final result will be quite an accomplishment to be proud of.
(Quincy getting ready to leave Monday Morning)
(Quincy was a little terrified of this merry go round, he couldn't wait to get off)
After we checked out their house we went to do some quick shopping for some picnic items. Quincy had lots of fun trying to chew through the Twizlers package to eat the candy. He even rode on a little miniature merry go round with Aunt Kelly. When we had the necessary treats we all rode over to Shoshone Falls, located in Twin Falls ID, for the picnic. Luckily there wasn't to much wind that day and over all the weather was very pleasant. We couldn't have picked a better day.
I myself had never been to Shoshone Falls, and I have to admit, it was pretty impressive. Although the water levels were low when we went, it was still quite magnificant. They call the falls the "Niagra of the West" and it's easy to see why. They are pretty huge. I felt incredibly small looking out over the massive amounts of water rolling over the large cliffs.
I was a little hesitant about getting too close to the edge, but not Quincy. He was practically begging to jump off the lookout INTO the falls, which of course made me very nervous. Luckily the bars weren't big enough for his head to fit through.
We spent the rest of the afternoon eating, playing frisbee, wading in a small creek and exploring. It was truly a nice day.
We love spending time with family... and it's even better when everyone gets to be there. Which reminds me... I can't wait for Quincy's Birthday in August when ALL of our family will get to visit.

That place looks totally cool. And Q looks even blonder than ever. Yes, I'm anxious for August to see you guys, too. The boys wanted to do some serious rafting (w/the Hoovers) but Spencer, Jonathan and I wanted to do the 'float' on the river -- more our speed. I miss you guys! Let me know when Q gets his pool. I hope they sell the same one there that they were offering here. Let me know if they don't...
Love,
Grammie
Looks like a fun day. I have family in Twin Falls so I've spent lots of time there, so nice. I'm jealous of your weather right now, it looks so gorgeous! And could Quincy be any cuter...
