Zayden's 9 month Stats:

Weight: 19lbs 5 oz (30%)
Height: 29 inches (75%)
Head Circumference: 44.5 (27%)
It’s so crazy to think that in less than 3 months Zayden will be 1! He has grown up quickly, and not with our encouragement in speeding up that process. He is by far still the happiest baby we’ve had yet. He’s willing to lend anyone one of his infamous smiles, usually resulting in delight on their part. He loves to dance and any time he hears music he can be seen bouncing up and down to the rhythm of  the song. It’s extremely cute.
He is a speed crawler now and has developed a technique of putting his head down so he can crawl “faster” while he’s trying to reach his destination in record time. Sometimes this results in a few bumps on his head because he’s not watching where he’s going. He can pull to stand very well and even reach down to pick something up without losing his balance. He likes to cruise along the furniture, but is not a fan of walking. He can walk while holding onto our fingers, but prefers to crawl and cruise. I’m definitely okay with this.
Zayden also like to sit on his knees and bounce up and down when he’s happy. He likes to play peek a boo with us, covering his own eyes and then shooting his arms up when we say “peek a boo!” He is easily entertained and frequently I find him crawling down to his older brothers’ room to play with their toys. He especially likes to play with their monster trucks that roll when you push them. I’ve never seen a baby so entertained with cars. Clearly he’s going to fit right in with his older brothers.  Speaking of which, he is entirely entertained by them and despite the fact that they constantly are man handling him, wrestling with him, and taking his toys away from him… he couldn’t love them more.
Zayden is a great little eater. I was kind of shocked when he was weighed at his check-up… everyone is always telling me how solid and chubby he is—I would have thought he’d have weighed more. Until just the last few days he was eating at 8, 10, 11, 2, 3, 5,6, and 8:00PM!  I don’t think any of our kids have ever been in the 30% for weight! However, he’s much taller than the other boys were. Tyler is happy about this. J He likes to eat everything we’re eating and he gets mad if we are enjoying something and he’s not. Z still doesn’t have any teeth, though he’s working on all of them. He’s only nursing 3 times a day now (morning, before nap, and before bed) and he takes a bottle of pumped milk well. You would think we would take advantage of this and go on more dates! Ha—maybe with the New Year we finally will.
Z is a good little sleeper—sleeping at night from 8:00PM- 8:00AM. He takes only one long nap during the day from 11:30-2:00, sometimes a shorter one in late afternoon if he’s been doing a lot of crawling around. He isn’t much of a snuggler unless he’s really tired. He’s recently got a little attached to mom, crying when I’m not around or if I walk in the room and someone else is holding him. He hasn’t quite gone into the ‘stranger anxiety’ stage, but I think that when he is clingy with me that it’s mostly because he’s teething.
We all love Zayden… he is a happy little ball of sunshine in our family.
One of his favorite places to cruise-- along the fireplace hearth
 Helping with the Christmas decorations

Before his first hair cut-- lots of hair!

After his hair cut. What a handsome baby!
Loving that he's big enough to sit up in the shopping carts like a big boy now.
Visiting at Grandpa Kent and Grandma Teesy's house.
 Typical smiley baby Z.
Enjoying cupcakes at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Christmas Eve-- trying to get to the presents.... And happy about it.
Christmas day-- not happy he can't play with the older boys' toys.
