Hoppy Easter!

I love Easter time!

While it's fun to do all the silly things like Easter egg hunts, eating candy, and getting baskets full of toys.... my favorite part is the REAL reason we celebrate. I am so thankful that Christ died, was resurrected, and lives again.

Through so much sorrow and pain came a way for our family to stay together eternally.

I love my boys.

I love Tyler.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the sacrifice He made so we may all live again.

He is Risen!

The Easter Bunny Visits!

Easter morning our boys woke up to find that the Easter Bunny visited. He not only brought them eggs filled with candy, but some goodies in their Easter baskets. Braxton got an Elmo and Friends book... the Easter Bunny knew that Elmo is his absolute favorite right now! He also got a little soft stuffed bunny, an Elmo coloring book- since he can color with crayons and lots of supervision, and some basketballs for the bathtub. Quincy got a mini bat and baseball, a Bert and Ernie math and Activity book, hologram animal stickers-- the Easter Bunny knows Quincy LOVES stickers!-- a Lightning McQueen puzzle, and some basketball bathtub toys.

It didn't take Braxton long to figure out how to open up the eggs and boy oh boy was he thrilled when he discovered what wonderful and delicious treats were inside!

While Quincy spent time searching for eggs...

Braxton spent time trying to get them open.......

And then he spent time trying to shove as many pieces in his mouth

It was a great Easter morning for our boys!

Easter Fun.

The Saturday before Easter we had some of the most beautiful weather we've had this year. Sunny, blue skies, and 70*-- you can't ask for much better than that. Our boys HAD to take advatage of Grammie and Grandpa Loren's great backyard and all of that wonderful sunshine. We spent a great amount of time soaking up some rays, smelling the freshly cut grass, and the boys enjoyed a new addition to my parents backyard-- the 'sandbox'. My boys couldn't have been happier.

Braxton had a great time playing in the new 'sandbox' [which my parents only paid $2.00 for all the sand inside-- money well spent, for hours worth of entertainment!] Since he's new the concept of what sand is and what it is used for... there may have been a few occasions where a few bites of sand entered his mouth. He has recently learned what Yuck means and he now can say "ucccck' for when things are dirty or yucky. It's pretty cute.

DIY Projects continued...

I finally cleaned out all my high school stuff from my parents garage. I took on the task of combining all my pictures from baby stuff through Tyler and I dating into one book. I got a nice photo album from my Aunt years back, but never cared for the floral fabric on it. Luckily Nanny was getting rid of some of her fabric and I saw the perfect print to recover my photo album. I love the way it turned out. It matches with my living room decor.. and BEST of all Braxton and Quincy LOVE looking at the all the pictures of "baby mama" (me). I should makes photo books more often. :)
