Staycation Day 2: Crossin' off #20 on our 2013 Bucket List

Tyler took off the next three days after wedding weekend and we decided Tuesday was the perfect day to go to the Portland Zoo. Tyler has never been and so we thought it'd be fun to go with
dad. The boys loved it. The weather was nice, not overly hot or cold and as a result it wasn't too crowded. We even manged to see quite a few of the bigger animals out. Zayden LOVED seeing the animals. All three boys were most captivated by the cheetahs, who were sleeping right up against a looking glass.

This was the first big animal we saw out and they boys were pretty happy about the big bear. :)

B's shocked by the fish. ha ha
Lunch break with my favorite boys.
The next stop after lunch was onto the elephants. This was a packed area since everyone there wanted to get a glimpse of Lily- the baby elephant. She was so cute and stuck close to her mama.

What's a visit to the zoo without seeing all the kitty cats.
Z liked these too.

This glass by the cheetahs was so slimed up from little hands and mouths, luckily not my kids... but it made it hard to get a clear picture of the pretty cats sleeping.

By the end of our visit Braxton was exhausted and we were all ready to take a break, but it was well worth the money spent to see all the amazing animals and spend time together as a family.
