And incase you're wondering what I've been up to:

I've been working on things like this:

It's been a nice creative outlet for me to work a couple of days a week, not to mention it's nice to have a little paycheck, and gain some more work experience.

Popcorn Night!

This is what my boys look like eating popcorn.... I'm lucky I get any at all!

Our G.Q. Model:

Quincy looks so cute in all his new clothes and is constantly getting compliments on his little outfits.

He has finally learned that his cars do more than fly through the air to hit us in the face. He now knows that they roll in the ground.

Mom and Quincy

Look at that cheesy smile!

Doing a little jig!

SNOW?!!!

Only in Idaho does snow start in October. What Washingtonion ever heard of this? Not me until I moved here. Rexburg is even worse, fortunately for us, it went as fast as it came.

A weekend with Aunt Kelly:

We were lucky to have Kelly visit us a couple of weeks ago. She got to our house late on a Wednesday night and stayed at our house until Friday afternoon. Quincy of course was spoiled because who got up early and took him out of his crib when he was fussing? Aunt Kelly. Who fed him breakfast and let him eat half her cereal? Aunt Kelly. Who took him for a jog with his mom and pushed him in the jogger stroller? Aunt Kelly. (Which might I add, killed me... I'm not in such great shape for running as Kelly is-- but on a positive note it was nice to run with someone else, even if she totally can kick my butt and not even break a sweat.) Who took him outside to play? Aunt Kelly. Who gave him all her undivided attention? Aunt Kelly.

Needless to say, Quincy had a fun time with Aunt Kelly staying at our house. And we had fun with her too. When Kelly visited, we got to meet her boyfriend (I think I'm allowed to say this) Mike. Tyler and I know of him, as he also attended BYUI. It was nice to formally meet him though. He and Tyler had a lot in common and it was fun "double dating" with Kelly and Mike. Oh and I wanted to say thanks to Kelly for making sure I wasn't the only one watching 'Man of The Year' who had to read the subtitles.

************************BILL!!********************************

We also had the pleasure of seeing Tyler's parents on Thursday night who took us to Red Robin for dinner, and traditionally they treated us for a dozen Krispe Kreme doughnuts afterwards. They were really sad to leave our house, well really sad to leave Quincy-- though Tyler and I would like to think they were sad to leave us to, but I'm sure we know the REAL truth--. It was really nice to see them and fun to go out with the family. We are so spoiled having them as our personal butcher.... they always bring us meat when they come, lucky us!! Fortunately, we were able to contribute to the diner tab with our Red Robin coupons we had. Yay!

All in all, it was a fun weekend!

Quincy looks like he's in a doughnut coma with Grandpa Kent and Grandma Teesy.

The whole gang.

Fall:

Now that Fall is quickly approaching we try to take advantage of all the sunny and mild weather days. Quincy LOVES to play outside. He loves the dirt, the grass, the garden, the sidewalk, the trees, rocks, bugs, sticks etc. He especially enjoys the fresh air and I'm not sure that I would disagree with his fascination with the outdoors. I like the change or scenery every once in a while too. The only downside to playing outside is that with all those fun things and places to explore... he usually ends of filthy dirty-- which means more laundry for me-- but as long as he has fun, oh well!

Homeless Baby:

So sometimes closer to the end of the week Quincy's outfits look a little something like this:

It's not that I prefer or even approve of these clothes, nor do I like the whole ensemble together, but when it's all he has left there's nothing else we can do but laugh. :o) Tyler and I got a kick out of this particular outfit because he looks kinda like a mixture of Richard Simmons, 80's flashback, a kid who got dressed by himself/ in the dark, and/ or some sort of homeless baby. Knowing the way Tyler dresses, I'm sure Quincy will be picking out these sorts of outfits when he demands to dress himself.

Our Little Typist:

One day, after using my old computer to upload pictures from my camera I decided to let Quincy do a little typing of his own.... of course he was only to allowed to do all that fantastic typing when the computer was off. My computer is about 4 or 5 years old and doesn't need any further problems with it to slow it down. Quincy didn't really care that it was off, he was just happy he could pound away on the keyboard without getting in trouble. He is becoming quite the typist! I think I'll have him post all our recent blog posts. :)

Aw Man!

Incase you thought we dropped off the face of the Earth, we didn't. We aren't so fortuante as we were these last several months and have lsot our wireless signal that we were picking up. So, now we're back to using the ever-so-convienant "high speed" internet here at the computer. Talk about a hassle. I would like to reassure everyone I have pictures I will be posting soon. Mom and dad... I didn't forget. We will return!

Tribute to the "perfect" wife:

I just wanted to give myself credit, since Tyler's not one to blog. I spent some of yesterday afternoon coming up with our meal plan for the month. I decided on what we're eating for dinner each night for the next month... though I have to say, it made it easier for me that we'll both be gone for a week. I had a friend up at school who was so on top of this with her family. She would write down on a calender what they were going to have for every meal. In fact, she's the one who suggested I subscribe to the Kraft Kitchen magazines, which have great ideas for meals and also include nutrition information, PLUS they are free! I am so glad I took her advice. Tonight we are having Chicken Bruschetta. I will be sure to post a picture if it turns out looking okay. I have received lots of great ideas for dinners from the Kraft food magazines, the Mormon mom recipe books, and of course from my dear Nanny. She's quite the cook.... that Nanny. I'm so glad my mom instilled in me the talent for baking... I attribute all my baking skills to her. It's always been easier for me to come up with something for dessert rather than decide on something for dinner.

I feel so accomplished, and relieved at the same time now that we have already mapped out what were eating for the night. I don't' have to decide any more what we're going to eat and then panic because it's 6:30PM and the meat isn't defrosted. I especially hate coming home from work and making these decisions. I have to say, even Tyler was impressed with this idea. At first he thought I was going to have all these special meals, with special ingredients and end up costing us a fortune. But I'm smarter than that, every meal I planned for this month is different than the one the night before --excluding the next night's meal plan of leftovers-- AND all the meals are mixed up recipes for things we always have stocked in our cupboards.

Now, if I were REALLY on top of things, I would also plan out our lunches.... but so far, dinner is all I can handle.

******Oh and as a side note, I have to pay some tribute to my "perfect" husband and publicly thank him for cleaning the entire house on Friday before I came home from work. He hardly ever does this, I mean goes on cleaning sprees, but it was so nice to walk into our home and see freshly vacuumed floors and clean kitchen counters. I love him.

****** Oh and as another side note, Quincy's been doing some cute things. He has really taken to patting Tyler's head and softly rubbing my hair. We have to use caution while he's doing this, because if we don't give him the right positive encouragement he gets a little violent. He also has taken a liking to riding Tyler like a horse. If Tyler's on the floor Quincy will plop himself down on his legs and bounce up and down like he's trotting on a pony. He also likes to do this while Tyler's laying on the floor on his stomach. He laughs pretty hard as if to say... "Keep going dad, this is fun!"

Tyler's also been taking him for piggy back rides, Quincy's just barely grasping the concept that he has to hold on tight enough or he'll fall off when Tyler's walking around on hands and knees. He giggles really hard while Tyler makes silly noises and pretends he's a horse'y'. Quincy's appetite is getting better. Tyler's been a little more easily frustrated with feeding him, but I think that's because he's been spending those 2 days a week with him by himself.

Quincy's also taken to grabbing the broom and "sweeping". Oh and the last couple of days he's felt the impulse to crawl around instead of walk. In fact, while we were watching this morning's session of conference Quincy proceeded to crawl around the living room. Tyler and I speculated what he was doing and Tyler suggested maybe he was pretending to crawl through a jungle or something. I think he's just approaching the age where he's realizing he's not a baby and occasionally he likes to revert to those crawling days and mix things up. He also likes to stand on his feet with his head on the ground and check out how things look upside down.

He's quite the little character, growing up so fast. Hard to believe we'll be approaching nursery time 4 months! Oh, and he got a haircut. It turned out pretty good. My camera's batteries are charging so I don't have pictures to post yet, but I will soon. Sorry this is so much longer than I anticipated.

Hope all of you enjoyed conference as much as I did. I loved President Monson's talk. I find it difficult to live in the moment, especially when I'm in "mom mode"... but after his counsel I'm going to do my best to do that. I know Quincy won't say little forever, and so I'll love him and enjoy him as much as possible right NOW.

Jabber Jaws

Rachael Ray is Slacking

Since I worked last weekend and had that really fun scare with loosing my wedding rings I have to say I've been slacking in the cooking department. I told Tyler after I finished working the grand re-open weekend I'd be back to my old self and cook him a dinner that didn't require a microwave. Since we don't have any red meat I decided to go "fancy" and do a more of a comfort dinner. I cooked the works. Pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and stuffing (I know some people can only have stuffing during the holidays, but I love it almost any time of the year) and steamed green beans. It was pretty yummy and I think Tyler was grateful for a real dinner for once. Plus, after we had some delicious left overs for the next night. Funny how as a kid I hated left overs, but as a mother I love them. I guess I understand how my mom felt-- relieved not to have to come up with something for dinner and then cook it.
Don't you love these "vintage" dinner plates? Tyler's parents gave them to us after we got married and I have to say I've been grateful to have them, but the gold pattern around the edge just gives me a flashback of the very same ones my parents used to have, and I'm sure got for their wedding.

New Church Clothes:

Thanks Grammie and Grandpa for sending Quincy his new church shoes. He looks like quite the little man in them!

Did I Mention..

... the posative side of working as a floral designer part time? Every now and then I get to bring home roses that we aren't able to sell because they've opened too big.

I LOVE having fresh flowers in the house.

What a Ham!

This past Fourth of July we went to the Independance Parade downtown and Quincy got some of these Mardi Gras beads. He LOVES these beads... which Tyler hated at first. I think Tyler has come to realize he just likes that he can shake them to make noise and isn't wearing them for other reasons. He seems to think that these great Mardi Gras beads complete any outfit. Quincy loves to put the beads on himself as well as on us. Here he was having fun shaking his groove thang' on the couch... of course Mardi gras beads in tote.

His Grammie and Grandpa sent him this funny Bubba Teeth sucker. We only let him suck on it for a little while because it was so big.

And lastly, our little ham found his frog rain boots that his Nanny and Pappy sent him. He decided that they would go well with his 'vintage' pajamas and of course....... the Mardi Gras beads. Tyler and I laughed when he had this outfit on. Tyler said his outfit to go help his dad with irrigation looked pretty similar. I said he looks like a homeschooled farm boy. What a Character!
